Let’s walk together whilst time does permit

Hands clasped together such a beautiful fit

Synchronised footsteps in time with another

Secrets are shared that we long to discover

Sunset is approaching a breath taking sight

Time spent together as day becomes night

Admiring such beauty the sunset we share

A breathtaking view which cannot compare

Tenderness and warmth flows from within

Your hand in mine, the touch of your skin

May I walk forever with you by my side

Lost

Lost is the heart that has never felt love

Lost is the soul that now wonders alone

Lost is the war that will never find peace

Lost is the voice when no one will listen

Lost is the day that passes by unfulfilled

Lost is a dream that was never achieved

Love is the heart that no longer feels lost

Souls blissfully entwined wondering free

Peace is the victory and all wars will end

Strong is the voice only when it is heard

Memories created by a day of fulfilment

Achiever of dreams and fears overcome

Unconditional Love

Do you know that you are loved unconditionally
If ever you feel lonely; you will always have me


When ever your hurting or get yourself in a muddle
I will be there to soothe you and give you a cuddle


To help mend your heart when you fall out of love
Remind you your special and thought the world of

You are the stars within my night sky, shining away
The guiding light in my darkness, the sun in my day


Sometimes you'll feel frightened or just a little unsure
When life provides moments you find hard to endure


Be reassured that I love you; every day even more

Another year gone by maybe time for reflection

What did you achieve, what was your direction?

Rejoice in your strengths and obstacles overcome

Let us welcome 2012 for a new journey has begun

We are fortunate to be here to enjoy another year

So fulfil all you dream of and challenge your fears

Be kind with your words and remember to smile

Make this year a great one, ensure it’s worthwhile

Live your life to the full a new year for beginning

Let go of past hurts, no better time for forgiving

So wipe the slate clean and start over once more

Desperation

Desperation overwhelms me, leaves me feeling confused
Left hurting inside whilst your words leave me bruised
My defences were weak; you drew me into your abysses 
Sinking deeper into pure darkness; I am fighting to resist


I should have known better because history always shows
You were the wolf in disguise only wearing sheep's clothes 
Subdued feelings of such frustration, sadness and despair
Wishing your words did not hurt me and I could not care


You make me want to retreat into myself to just hide away
Help me block out the venom and the games that you play
The child that lives within me just wants to keep running
I should have recognised the signs or seen this one coming


I will not feel anger, bitterness nor resentment or dismay
At some point in the near future I will look back on this day
Desperation will have left me; the darkness will be no more
I feel light shining within me providing guidance once more

Christmas Time

That special time is upon us for December is here

The time of joyous celebration, giving and cheer

Small children write letters to send to Santa Claus

Innocence and beauty that I wish we could pause

Christmas trees, decorations take over our home

Families spend time together, parties are thrown

The history of baby Jesus, how this day came to be

Played out whilst the children sing 'Little Donkey'

The shops become hectic as many will try to find
Special gifts for one another, thoughtful and kind
Christmas carols are being sung by people nearby
The smell of roast chestnuts, a taste of mulled wine

A time for reflection on the year that has gone by
Reminding us all once again how quickly time flies

Enjoying time together with the ones you hold dear

Remembrance Sunday/Veterans Day

A day of reflection, a part of history we all share

A defined date in time that portrays the warfare

We remember the brave their life's sadly taken

A sadness still remains that cannot be forsaken

The ‘Last Post’ plays then two minutes of silence

We will all stand together with unspoken alliance

Remembering the loss of our service men/women

The peace and freedom which we have been given

The courage they have shown will always live on

Time may pass us by but they will always belong

Within our heart's, our thoughts and memories too
We dedicate this day to remembering all of you
